If you have had a break from teaching but would like to return, people with your teaching experience and life skills are in great demand!   Currently the main teacher shortage is in the early childhood and secondary (specific subjects) sectors, and in primary schools in the Auckland region. Recent Government announcements regarding staffing levels in primary schools will increase employment opportunities for primary teachers in the near future. There is always a need for well-qualified and experienced teachers in all sectors.
