Graduate

If you have a degree and are considering secondary teaching you can choose from these options to complete a secondary teaching qualification at a teacher education provider:

Complete a one-year Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary)
Complete a two-year Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)

Ensure your undergraduate degree includes two teaching subjects for secondary teaching. Otherwise you may have to do further study before completing a Graduate Diploma of Teaching.

TeachNZ Graduate Scholarships will be available for the following subjects: Technology, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Te Reo Māori and Home Economics. These scholarships will open on 1 January 2010 and close on 1 February 2010.
