Undergraduate Scholarships

Undergraduate Scholarships allowances are paid out at the end of your academic year of study as long as you have met the eligibility criteria. You need to have studied full-time (or have held limited full-time status from StudyLink) and have passed all of your study as per your terms and conditions.

Graduate Scholarships

Graduate Scholarships allowances are paid out in two halves. Part one after we have received all the required documentation and have had confirmation by paying your fees you are studying full-time (0.8EFTS or more). Part two at the end of the academic year of study as long as you have met the eligibility criteria. You need to have studied full-time (or have held limited full-time status from StudyLink) and have passed all of your study as per your terms and conditions.

Scholarship allowance schedules

Career Changer Scholarships

Recipients may apply for $30,000 per year, paid fortnightly in instalments of $1,500.

  • Tipu Whakarito te Reo Māori me Te Waka Whakarei (Secondary) for one year.
  • Māori Medium (Primary) for up to three years.

*On this day, a public holiday falls on the Monday of the payment week. Your payment will be made on the Wednesday of that week instead of the usual Tuesday.

Early Childhood Scholarships

Early childhood scholarships awarded prior to 2011
Scholarship holders may apply for a maximum allowance of $3,333.33 at the end of each academic year for courses up to three years in length. Those enrolled in a four-year course may apply for $2,500 at the end of each academic year for up to four years.

Early Childhood Undergraduate Scholarships awarded 2011 onwards
Scholarship holders may apply for an annual instalment each year up to the total value of $10,000 over the period of study.
