The information below applies to the 2017 TeachNZ Career Changer Scholarships.

Career Changer Māori Medium Scholarships are for people wanting to teach in bilingual and total immersion classes in primary schools.

They provide financial assistance so the loss of income you experience while studying is not a barrier to obtaining a teaching qualification.

These scholarships are also available for people who are not qualified teachers but are currently working in a school either teaching te reo Māori; as a specialist Māori language teacher such as a kaiārahi reo teacher; or who have Limited Authority to Teach in a Māori-medium school.

These scholarships are for people enrolling into their first year of an approved Māori-medium teacher education qualification commencing at the start of the 2017 academic year.
