Applications for the 2019 TeachNZ Māori Medium Primary and Te Reo Māori (Secondary or Wharekura) Scholarships will reopen on 17 December 2018.

Note: You do not need to be enrolled in an approved teaching programme when applying for these TeachNZ scholarships.

The information below applies to the 2019 Māori Medium (Primary) and Te Reo Māori (Secondary or Wharekura) Scholarships.

If you want to teach in te reo Māori or become a teacher of te reo Māori, a TeachNZ Māori Medium or te reo Māori Scholarship may be just what you've been waiting for.

There are two types of Scholarships available for 2019:

Māori Medium (Primary) – for people who are either proficient or fluent in te reo Māori and who wish to work as a primary teacher in bilingual or immersion classes.

Te Reo Māori (Secondary or Wharekura) - Tipu Whakarito Te Reo Māori me Te Waka Whakarei – for people who are either proficient or fluent in te reo Māori and who wish to work as a secondary teacher.
