TeachNZ Science, Technology and Maths (STM) Secondary Scholarships

The 2018 TeachNZ Science, Technology and Maths Secondary Scholarships are now closed.

This Scholarship closed Monday 25 September 2017.

TeachNZ scholarships are subject to change each year, including the categories, types and numbers of scholarships available.

Note: You do not need to be enrolled in an approved teaching programme when applying for a TeachNZ scholarship.

The information below applies to the 2018 TeachNZ Science, Technology and Maths Secondary Scholarships.

If you're a graduate, and you want to train to become a secondary teacher in the sciences, technology or maths, this is a scholarship opportunity that could lead to a new, exciting and challenging STM career.

These scholarships will cover core study fees and pay an allowance of up to $10,000. They are for people who will commence their study during the 2018 academic year.

There are a total of 100 scholarships available, made up of:

  • 40 Science scholarships
  • 20 Technology scholarships
  • 40 Mathematics scholarships

You must successfully gain entry into an approved Graduate Diploma/Master of Teaching before you can receive course fee or allowance payments.
