Ngārimu VC and 28th (Māori) Battalion Memorial Scholarships

These scholarships support high achieving tertiary students of Māori descent.

Fulbright distinguished awards in teaching

The Fulbright awards are for highly accomplished New Zealand teachers to participate in an intensive professional development programme in the United States of America for four months. Two awards are granted each year.

Queen Elizabeth ll Technicians' study awards

Training assistance in a Commonwealth country for applicants recognised as technicians/technologists in their discipline and who have worked in their field for at least three years.

NASDAP study tours

Study tours for members of the National Association of Secondary Deputy and Assistant Principals who are actively working to improve New Zealand schools.

Edna Joyce Howe scholarship

Scholarship for trained teachers undertaking higher studies or research in Food technology; Clothing, textile and design technology; Home economics, or other home and life science development.

ASB/APPA/TTPA travelling fellowship

Funds two principals from the Auckland and/or Tai Tokerau area to travel in New Zealand or overseas to do research into significant educational issues of concern to schools.

Woolf Fisher fellowship

The Fellowships are awarded to secondary, intermediate and primary principals and secondary teachers to acknowledge and encourage excellence in educational leadership and ‘in-school’ practice in New Zealand.

The Prime Minister's Education Excellence Awards

The Prime Minister's Education Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in early learning, primary and secondary schooling.

Special Education study awards and scholarships

Special education study awards and scholarships support and encourage teachers to develop skills in working with students with additional learning needs.

Scholarships for teaching English in schools for speakers of other languages (TESSOL)

Scholarships for study towards a TESSOL qualification.

Teacher-led innovation fund (TLIF)

TLIF supports teams of qualified teachers from early learning services, ngā kōhanga reo, schools and kura to collaboratively develop innovative practices that improve learning outcomes.
